Found a set of nimrods for sale but they have been fitted to a 106 so come with 195/40/16's

Will this tyre size look ridiculous and cause my speedo to be widly inaccurate or would they be OK?

Also would the spacers and longer bolts used on the 106 be the same as for the 306?

They aren't ideal (195/45/16 would be best) but wont look horrendous.

The spacers and wheel bolts will the be same as the ones from a 106 as they have the same offset.

205 45 16 is the ideal size for a 306 Smile

wheelbolts will be fine, 106 tends to need similar offset to the 306.

Goodyear eagle F1's - I swear by them, but it looks like I might have a hard time finding any more in that size now. Can't seem to find any stock anywhere recently.

Yeah, I have rubbing issues with one side of the car with 195/45/r16's so I need to get it sorted before the rears become 205/45/r16's...

+1 for 205/45/16. I had nimrods with this size on my XS and they suited the car perfectly. I had some 5mm spacers made for mine as they rubbed slightly on the inside of the rears, but the fronts were fine. I'm waiting for another set of 'rods to come up at the right price for my 309 too.
