I know it's been done to death, but an hour of searching hasn't turned up the answer I'm looking for regarding ITB's....

So, spoox seem to be the only place I can find that have the most comprehensive ITB and management kit for a gti6 advertised online, how does their pricing (£2021) sound for what is offered in the kit? They also list the ITB minus management kit for a little less (£1064). Is anything other than an a/m ecu required to get my gti6 running on ITB's?

Are these realistic prices? I've bought from spoox before with no issues, but read others views on them on here, and most dis-satisfaction seems to relate to their prices.

I have looked on the jenvey website, and found the mi16 specific kit, I presume this is the same as a gti6 kit? And what else is needed in this case, other than management, to get the car running right on ITB's?

Thanks in advance,
Colm

Shame the Coil pack and HT leads are not listed, I'd either bite the bullet and use the 710 or Emerald ECU which can run the std 6 coil packs.

That's expensive for a basic kit which anyone supplies and the part on fuel lines may need modification, there's no may around it they need replacing

speak to colin satchell and get his lotus tb setup, this will run the standard fuel rail etc.

easiest to run somthing like a DTA S40 and a 106 8v coilpack and ht leads.

Pic of mine with this setup, inlet and trumpets have been changed since but bodies stay the same. Gives you an idea though.

Colin is a member on Talk-Torque under username eeyore i think? Might be worth signing up and sending him a PM.

ill pm you his email address. he's not on that many forums. he does all the machining etc for sandy brown and does alot of fabrication, suspension setups.

i had his old tb setup on my old engine in my 205 rallye, but when i had the new one built i went for 50mm jenveys for the extra flow.

heres a pic of my old setup, they done some testing with inlet lenth and on mine ran a much longer inlet manifold with a shorter trumpet setup which brought mid range power and torque up a great amount.
this was a 1900 mi16 bottom end with a gti6 head and 109 cat cams (oe fitment) and was 181hp at the wheels (208 at fly) but more impressive it was 155hp at the wheels at 5000 rpm!!

Once manifold, bodies, trumpets, ecu, loom and mapping are covered i should write off at least 2k.
