anyone know if a phase 3 twin fan will fit a phase 1?

Should do, my phase 1 has twin fans. Not sure about the fan control though, am guessing you'd have to fit the Bitron from the phase 3 too

You can run twin fans on a rallye by removing the 2nd fan's resistor pack. They're controlled from a radiator temperature switch not a Bitron iirc.
