I bought this kit off ebay for £30. He told me it was a black panther kit from LK performance. Ive received it and its a Valeo one. However, Im unsure. No.1 it should be 3 pieces and No 2 it has no part numbers on it except on the thing which i think is the bearing has EQ0160500 & No 3 these retail at over £100.

Can anybody confirm from the pic that its not a fake Valeo kit please. Its for a XJ4R by the way.

Cheers

Friction suppliers often buy parts from other manufacturers to offer a larger catalogue. It's common to find Valeo friction plates in other clutch kits.

The release bearing is the third piece, but it comes attached to the cover plate for these pull type clutches.

Sweet. Nice one Rich. I would presume that all Valeo's are exact the same in quality. They don't have a 2nd rate version for other manufacturers they supply to do they?

The friction material and spring pre-loads might be different but it won't be a sub standard build quality no.

these pull type kits are only 2 part, seeing as the bearing is attached to the clutch plate Wink

looks like a different one to Valoe which is unsurprising if its meant to be a "performance" kit.
