It's slow progress folks but it's slowly getting there!

this is the rear quarter flatted then buffed with G3. I did finish it off with the ultimate compound/polish,wax but by then it was dark so didn't get any photo's.

fantastic work, just saw this thread for the first time...had me glued for an hour. fantastic work ethic. and the only colour that MAY have been better IMO is china blue!! not a 100 percent sure I like it as the back end reminds me too much of a 406, a car I have never liked but that aside outstanding work and perfection.

Finally my crystals arrived! Thanks to Darren (CRspares) for going out of his way to sort them out for me. They got lost in the post the first time around. Here's a couple of crappy pics of them fitted. I had to use the P2 beam adjusters from the old lights as the plugs were different.

Looks much better Dan. Are you going to fit a P3 splitter to the bumper?

Have you decided which way to go with the suspension also?

Looks much better now I agree! I will be putting a splitter on as its true to the Gti6. I know it would look the dogs bo***cks lowered but don't know if I want to loose the gti6 feel.

not that it's worth anything but my opinion is it needs lowering, if you do it properly it will still handle well and feel like a GTi

100% correct. I have them on mine, with Bilstein B8's and the ride is spot on, a deffinate improvement over standard without being hard as rock.

If you were closer you could have a spin in mine to try it for yourself.

I took this photo this morning at work and thought it was a good angle. It kind of looks short compared to a 4 door even though its exactly the same.
