I want to fit my FOCAL components speakers in the doors, they are the correct diameter but are too deep (window regulator in the way)
Can any one advise of either pods or extensions to allow fitment of these, also same for the tweeter in the mirror inside cover.
Thanks.

the tweeters can be fairly easily fitted in the mirror covers, pop some holes in or buy a set with the tweeter grills already in and cut them out, it depends on the way the tweeter is going to sit in the holes. my alpine ones don't line up 100% but as it's on the other side to the cabin you never see it. the speakers, again depends how big, i had to grind away a few mm from the metal of the door inner and make some spacer rings out of 10mm or so mdf / plywood.

I had a problem trying to fit some Focals to the Rallye. In the end it came down to either having them or being able to wind down my windows!

I did notice that there was a member with an avatar showing some Focals fitted into a wedge type spacer, but can't remember who it was. Might be worth checking a few threads and asking him.

Thanks,

If you have their number this would be useful, the pods could be made and sent if required, or a place can be arranged for instal.

I had these made by these guys, they are in Hayes, west London.

www.caraudiosecurity.co.uk

Behind them lurk 6.5" Focal Utopia Mids.

Kyri.

Apologies for the images - I resized them and they have moved 90 degrees and upside down!

This one is topsy turvy.
Most people look at them and think they are an unmodified door.
