Hello everybody Wave

Here's the story, my fans aren't cutting in as the engine gets hot in traffic and eventually the stop light comes on and I have to turn off the engine.

So I did a search and read about the brown sensor test and when I tried it nothing happened until i gave the fans a nudge and the drivers side one came on full power but nothing from the other.

So does this mean that the fans need to be replaced, and that'll sort it, or should I try anything else first?

Thanks, Matt Crazy

I had this very same problem, fans wouldnt cut in unless you physically knocked them.

Check my post history and you can read my thread.

Its lazy fan motors - they are on their way out.

I replaced mine with a good 2nd hand set and not a problem since.

Be sure to put ur internal blowers on full speed HOT when your engine gets warm as it will divert the air away from the engine.

I got a good set from pugplus off here. £25 delivered. I think he could probably sort you out too....

Bit of a nightmare getting the front bumper off but once you have done that its fairly straight forward. Smile
