just brought a hdi went to turn on cd player it says 4 error is it nakerd as i cant get it to go to the screen so i can put the code in!

I got this tonight and was seriously miffed Angry

Anyway, after double-checking the manual, this is only a temporary error message - you will need to leave the radio powered and anywhere between 5 secs - 30 mins you will be able to re-enter a code.

Mine took about 5 mins before it allowed a code to be entered (when I finally entered the right code!) Smile

From what I read this sequence will keep on occurring (ie every 3 wrong codes) until 14 codes have been entered wrong in which case the unit is permanently blocked...Sad

and after you can put a new dump into the radio which allows using it without a code Wink

but that requires an eeprom reader and a bit of soldering LOL
