hi, i wana check for vacumm leak with a smoke machine but they are a couple of hundred quid and the garage wants 40 quid to do it but i can get the ones they use at discos and partys for less than 20 quid and i got spare vacuum hoses would this work or is it a different kind of smoke which will damage the engine?

Party smoke machines using hot oily stuff to make the effect, personally for a saving of £20 I wouldn't be putting that anywhere near an engine No

Smoke machines used to 'crack' oil to make smoke but current ones use water based smoke fluid.
