to start with... I HAVE READ THE FAQ Smile

and i have done a search but cant find the same problem,

i have had my battery disconnected and in turn need to punch in my radio code, which is in my book. but it didnt work

so got the code off the top of the unit did the +1 +2 +3 +4. ended up with code 6253(same as whats written in the book) typed it in but nothing happens. do i have to press a button after? the faq says it changes to FM1 after the code is put in.

any ideas?

also, put in an aftermarket head unit and there seems to be alot of distorsion(sp??) again any help is much appreciated

Whether the +1, +2, +3 works or not depends on which exact unit you have on a lot of the phase 3 ones you wont be able to do this and will have to have to pay for a code.

cheers guys, its a phase 2 with tape deck, i tried pressing every button after and nothing, i just put in my stereo out my old car, it will do for the time being.

and the speakers are working fine now, it was a dodgy connection.

have to say though, im pretty impressed with the standard speakers.
