Laugh Like it,

sorry not been on for a few days,

re-designing the standard Dogtag Keyring isn't a problem and shouldn't take anymore than a few hours!

but I'm liking the idea of a machined Keyring if the costs can be kept down Happy

here's the cyclone (not yet finished)
and the 6/Rallye logo I built for the forum banner idea

just to give you an idea of where it's heading!

Thumbs up GNRLEE looking very good there

Anyway here are my two pennies:

I had previously seen people here on the forum who simply drilled a hole in a red & bage annd used it as keyring. As a little present for my brothers birthday I bought 2 6 badges from the bay and cut 2 thick pieces of aluminium, heated them up a tad and put the badges on with the self adhesive back they come with.

Had mine for over a year and a half without the badge falling of.

everything boils down to cost of production,
and the market to buy them,

I'll keep at these for now then look into costs and numbers! Smile

Now i love the idea of the 6 Rallye as a keyfob design, another chore of owning one of these means you'd regularly stab yourself with the rallye stripes LOL

Worth it though because the design is great!!

bet you wouldn't if it costs £20 LOL
if I get get them made up cheap enough I'd get them all done Big grin but sadly I think just one of the designers will be made up!

I think we needs Lists of who's interested in what to see where I need to be concentrating my efforts,

I'll try get production costs together for all of them and then we make a final decision based on that yeah?

I just want to get these to some sort of finished state 1st Smile

I've only had time to neaten up the Etched keyring design, and do some research into costs,
these would cost about £5 each

I have some one lined up that has a 5 axis laser cutter that believes they can do the Cyclone or the Logo keyring

I need to get them finished off and we'll see what the costs of getting these machined up would be,

I'll probably have to take deposits as I'm not in a position to fork out the funds to re-coop back later

Happy

Mine p**ses me right off. Something that's not metal would be ideal, jingling keys are annoying!

Like a rubbery version. But cut out badges rather than a plate with a design on would be awesome. Probably cost too much though.

i've been giving these some thought,..
i could have a master version of the logo & or cyclone 3d laser printed then get a mould made up and make them out of resin,... that may keep the price down,...

the etched keyrings when I looked into it I believe it was metal Monkeys that did that last lot and I have to get a batch of 50 made up minimum,..

when I get chance I'll see how much they'll cost to have done, Smile
