Sup Y'all

Couldnt find a previous thread on this (or didnt look hard enough, your pick)

Was in mates old 328i and he had rewired the cigerette lighter to be an engine start button. (not sure how it works technically but it sure worked and seen some clips on youtube of this in action)

be interested to know if anyone has done this... would be a crazy party trick!

Would be easy enough to do, a car cigar lighter just shorts the terminals. Wire that into your ignition switch and you're golden.

It does beg the question though - why on earth would you want to do that?!

I cant afford a supercar yet, this is the only way to have an Engine Start button.

or may have one of those buttons on fighter jets where you flick the plastic with your thumb and press the red fire button.

may be tacky, but would undoubtebly be cool!

(yes am very bored at work right now! boss has left early so gota eat up minutes til 5...the good life!)

By no means is it the only way to have an engine start button, you can put one anywhere you want! Just a case of wiring it across your ignition barrel on the right wires.
