hello all,

my gear stick has about a cm of play in it when its in neutral i know this is probably normal for an older car but how can i get rid of it?

also when putting it into gear it sqeaks abit, its the kind of sound i would imagine that would come from dry rubber on rubber but i dont have a clue where any of the gear linkages are etc. how can i solve it?

Thanks

mine's got play in it also. just fitted a quickshift but i imagine there's always going to be *some* play, it'll just be the linkages i imagine before they engage Unsure

The rubber ball on one of the cranks can break up and lead to excessive play. Not too difficult to replace if it is that.
