Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you guys were changing your cambelt when you fitted a new cam. I'm changing to PH1 cams shortly...

My cambeltkit is only 3500 miles old (changed it this summer) and it seems a waste to fit a new one now...

So what's best?

Regards, Paul

Thanks guys, think I'll just use the old one since it's still quite new.

No harm in it really. Most dealerships & garages won't replace the belt when doing engine work under warranty.

It never does the aux belt any harm and that's nowhere near as strong as the cambelt.

Exactly Rich, but with the many snappers on here I thought I'd ask... Better safe than sorry Smile

Before this I had a Mi16 and I also re-used the cambelt when I installed a replacement head. Drove another 18K with it untill I sold it.
