First off sorry about the sound quality, was taken on my phone.

It's quite a high pitched rattle that appears at around 3000 revs, and dissappears below or above. Personally I think it's possibly heatshield rattle caused by the resonant tone that the engine makes at that particular rpm. But I thought I'd post this and get another opinion incase someone else has had the same issue and it turned out to be something different.

It does sound like the heatsheild rattling, probably the bolt missing/lose at the back drivers side end. Also loose or worn springs that hold the downpipe to manifold can make that noise.

couldn't really hear it clearly on the video, but my heatshield rattles much like that and its the bolt into the manifold that's snapped (last feckin bolt I did up when doing the head!)

Turns out this little badboy had gone walk about...



Replaced it and the noise is no longer present, cheers for your help guys Happy
