depends what you want, but IMO you can't beat a standard Peugeot Bush, if you want a little extra stiffness get it pressed in at 90 degrees to the usual.

The solid rubber types are way too OTT for a road car, and the poly ones tend to split in half.

I have a solid metal bush in mine, makes the dash vibrate a bit at idle, but gives the engine a nice solid feel under acceleration. Smile

Just Fitted one of Miles Solid Rubber ones !!!
Engines solid now ....gear-change feels better .!!!
Pulling away no slap engine movement ...

Only bad part is much much noisier than stnd ..
I use it mostly for road ....it's liveable for advantages Thumbs up

I like that I can here & feel the car working inside more ...some may hate that ...
That's what Stereos are for !!!!

Defo harsh on tick over but ... only a bit noisier when moving though

Looking at making up my own solid bush on the lathe.

Could someone do me a favour and measure the OD of a std bush for me please? (preferably with calipers or other precision instrument)

As soon as I get the sump guard off my 205 I'll show you what solid bottom mounts do when combined with a paddle clutch No

I have a BBM uprated one in mine and when first fitted it used to vibrate everything like f**k at idle and when pulling away but has since softened somewhat and is now easily liveable as a daily drive if i wanted to.

Powerflex ones are piece of p**s but made slightly to loose IMO and don't seem to last.

Standard bushes allow to much engine movement for my liking even when new. But as WP says mount it 90 degrees to its normal position and it's a good compromise. Less movement but not teeth chattering.
