I did a search but couldnt find anything.

Just wondering what this sensor actually does? My car has been running lumpy on and off for a few month now and felt down on power, so been changing bits here there and everywhere. So ive just changed the green temp sensor on the pug and everything seems fine now seems to have its power back and run fine. So any info welcome Big grin

Cheers

It's used by the ECU to enrich the mixture when the engine is cold, effectively making an electronic version of a choke.

If the sensor is giving a false high temp reading then no enrichment will take place when the engine is cold and with a false low temp reading it will continue mixture enrichment after the engine has warmed up which is what it was doing on your car.

Will most likely be the rubber fuel lines in the engine bay. They are probably all cracked inside and seeping fuel.

It could have well killed off your lambda and wont have been doing you're cat any good if its been overfueling for a while.
