Ok, so I changed the seats in the 6 today. So I disconnected the battery and ever since it's been re-connected my front headlights, no others have started flashing. They continue to do so for about a minuite or so whenever one of the doors is opened or closed.

Could this be something to do with the original alarm? No alarm sounds, just a faint clicking from inside the car, I'm guessing this is something to do with one of the relays?

Thanks in advance

Have the later cars got the button on the steering coloum cover? It should look like a siren symbol.

If it has, lock the car, open it again and I think you have like 30 secs to press and hold this button whilst the ignition is on the second stage.

hope this helps

no it wont, open car then insert key, wait till flashy flashy stops, turn ignition to 2nd click then press and hold alarm button on column.

fit new batteries to keyfob, or just use the key to lock and unlock and have no alarm.

Cheers for the help guys, much appreciated.

I have an aftermarket alarm already fitted, the standard alarm never made itself known untill today, is there any specific procedure to follow to make it go back this way? Razz Or is what you've described, the procedure i'm looking for?

Sorry for all the questions but as the forum states, I'm a newbie Happy

There's a brown relay in the fuse box that controls this, remove it and problem sorted, or remove the alarm
