I think rallyestyle's made 270odd bhp on two sets of rollers. Yours has had a custom remap though, hasn't it?

I thought the maps were set like that for the safety of the engine? I thought that 260 was the safe limit? Unsure

I remember that, but thought it was down to him running on normal fuel? So had the issues from det, rather than running too much power?

Same thing happened to some fellas from Ireland running on low octane fuel. You just cant get away with it on low grade fuel as det is inevitable with that kind of boost unless you have high octane fuel to cotrol the burn.

Just looked through posts and it was ChrisD306 that melted pistons from running 95 ron Yes

Was it definitely the restrictor ring that killed Birk's then?

I had mine rr'd at 275bhp on two different engines.

I think it was down to me not using uprated spark plugs.

Just getting paranoid mate, but sure exhaust is not causing the issue Smile

I run mine on 97 fuel, got uprated sparks (BKR9EIX I think), Royal Purple Oil and untouched restrictor ring. Think I have all the bases covered Smile

Link above is to the sale ad for the car last July. Last I have seen of the car.

And it was returned to standard by somebody who owned it before Chris (Bigbadbowen). It still had some of the mods when Chris bought/sold it but wasn't supercharged.

And it appears 'Woodstain' is the latest (mentioned) owner.

Although he's not a paid member so you won't be able to PM him. Someone may have contact details.

It sounds like he was intending on fitting an Eaton charger.
