Get about 32 mpg in my high boost, if i drive the ring or generally just hoon it i can do a tank in 80-100 miles (unsure of the mpg terms).

Well i've just pretty much driven like a grandad (the ones who refuse to take it past 3000rpm) to see how far i could get on £40 after starting a new job further away.

34MPG.....
Just filled up, and this time it'll be fun as i'm going to see what i do on a normal "musclebeach" driving style!

34mpg is good i think. i put £10 in my 6 and only get 34-28mpg before i have to fill up again. then again on a motorway run i managed 470mile out of a full tank and that was driving between 60 - 80mph all the way no flooring it at all

That was on Shell fuel though so i didn't get as many miles as lesser fuels...i'd say i'd get 37mpg or close to that, without actually doing any calculations!

Back in 2004 i filled mine up on the way in to FCS and still had a full tank 2 days later even after covering the 240 miles home

Ok it was on the back of an AA truck but it was the cheapest 240 mile Smile

almost 400, all of it on the motorway. not crawling but not going for the land speed record either. was quite impressed, it usually does very well on long drives. sort of makes up for the rest of the time! but then again i never drive like a granny ever so any kind of halfway decent mpg is a bonus.

Mines been about 25-28mpg recently, but it's always cold. The drive to work is under 3 miles, poor old girl barely gets the oil warm :-(

Having never had an oil temp gauge before i'm very surprised at how long it takes the oil to get warm after the engine is up to temperature. Cringe to think at my previous cars being ragged when the oil was probably still cold.

All about the 2nd to 4th eco-shift™ though.

Oddly enough I have a 1.6VVT Megane and a Rallye.

The Megane will do 37mpg on the way to Birmingham. The Rallye will not.

Keir's Rallye used to do over 40mpg - he did drive it in a very eco style to achieve that.

Our Megane 1.6 vvt is averaging 40.9mpg but that's because my missus drives like an old woman I think.

i fill up with fuel, squeezing every drop till the top (£69.11 on monday), re-set the counter and drive to work.

my trip is 26.6 miles each way. i can achieve 5 days to & fro.

my trips hilly, with many drop downs and a small motor way blast.

my missus 207 gt hdi on the other hand will do a good 570+ miles for the same price!

derv w*nker.
