Spares/repairs 306 2.0L XSI PH3 (2000) - £250
Hi

Just before i ebay it i thought id put it on here

Selling my 306 2.0L XSI 2000 - moonstone blue 3 door PH3

Its spares/repairs, but doubt its worth repairing and i cant be bothered to break it

£250 to break the ice before i ebay it

Ok so here goes

It has a rattle from the engine
- sounds like a tappet noise- but from a piston or a camshaft. i have looked into the camshafts and seen no damage, but it could be a knackered follower or lifter or some part around there. AA mechanic says it sounds 'deeper' than that so could be piston. The rattle gets louder and faster as the revs do. it is drivable as i drove it for a monh or so till the gearbox went

Needs a new gearbox
I believe the bearings have shattered on one of the shafts, it does go into gear and does drive, but sounds like a dying cat with a load of loose metal is being raped inside the gearbox - for want of a better word lol. When the car is in neutral and running, it still grinds and screams out and also judders forwards like it thinks its in gear. When you put the clutch in, the noise goes

Needs new handbrake cable
The drivers side has snapped, the passenger side is still attached but doesn't hold the car still as the handbrake lever goes all the way up before it slightly tensions

Seatbelt light is on
no idea why i'm afraid, it came on not long before the gearbox went, but i never looked into it

Dent in passenger door
large dent in passenger door, not crashed anything I'll be honest i kicked it in anger when the gearbox shattered

The seats are ok, small tear in drivers bolster and rear seat the stich lining has come apart on the bit you sit on, not huge problem but you can pull it apart

On a plus it does have £50 (¾) worth of petrol in it, although it has been sat for around a month or so.

It can be driven its just very load as from gearbox, so can be put onto a low loader

V5 is present so car can be transferred to personal name or trader

Thanks for looking!

this thread no longer makes sense. he bought an s16, that's f*cked, and everyones telling him to get rid. everyone except me, who said if needbe, break it for spares and recoup your cash that way

then you post about an xsi which quite frankly i don't have the foggiest idea what that has to do with this s16

as for my xsi, it was originally up for £400 but i told him he was a total mug asking that price and walked away after viewing it. he phoned back saying he'd take £200 so i went back with £100 and tbh it was arseache but i waved £100 at him. AND he drove it to my lockup for me Laugh

Tts makes more sense than you posting a link to pug.net and then just copying the above thread from there after simply stating "thick twat" hence why Adam and Rikky both said the same question....

What are you struggling with, English in general or me pointing out you futile drivel....

and your opinion that hes a thick twat because he sold his moonstone for the same price is just that, your opinion, doesnt make him a twat.

but posting how to do ____________ makes you a think c*nt..... Whistle

Laugh my ass off i know you have already proven yourself to be more than a retarded individually already, but:

A: to assume your lack of understanding of a simple sentance written in English is becuase you think its written in Scottish? is just plain stupid, and slightly offensive to the scots i imagine...

B: are you aware its possible to live in a country your not from? im English you linguistically challened numpty

C: your just simply a c*nt with a capital C who seems to make a habit of posting complety drivle...

Just incase one or more of the words are a bit too long for you or you do not reconise them, (Or simply your education does not allow for an understanding of said words) here is a handy key :

Linguistically = Of or relating to language or linguistics

Drivle = to let saliva flow from one's mouth; drool; slobber

Numpty = Someone who (sometimes unwittingly) by speech or action
demonstrates a lack of knowledge or misconception

Oh and @ Noaki, hopefully you can sort it out bud but if not, as rikky said just flog the shell, carpet (as i know when Chris tried to get the blue S16 it took him a while to find it!) and break the rest and get some money back.
