hi,
lateley my car has started idling rough and stalling when coming to a stop when cold and hot, ive cleaned the iacv there was no change, i bought a after market iac valve bu that made th car rev at roughly 11000rpm. the valve is constantly open should it be like that? also if anyone has other sugestions about what the cause could be that would be great.

thanks in advance

What car are you actually talking about? I'm guessing a 1.6?

If so that ICV pictured wont be for your car, yours should use the same magnetti marelli one as on a gti6, that bosch one is for an S16.

Sounds very similar to the MAP sensor also! Mine would judder quite a bit on idle and then the revs would drop so low when coming to a stop that it would stall! £12 for a used good MAP sensor, sorted!

Impressive getting your car to idle at 11,000 rpm LOL , even Rich W's car only rev's to 8,500, just put the proper icv on and it should idle ok.
