Hi Guys,

I have a simple question here... I would like to run my car on E85, and the guy who mapped my VEMS said that the original injectors run at 78% duty cycle, so they are not enough to get the full potential out of E85.

For best performace (wihtout close to 100% duty cycle) I would need injectors around 395cc/min flow rate.

(originals being 265cc @ 3bar, he said a 1.5x times bigger should be a good starting point, so 265 x 1.5 = 397,5)

I've found Volvo 395cc injectors, but they are not the "fat" bosch injectors, but the thinner ones, like a pencil.

would these fit into the inlet manifold and the fuel rail without a problem and air or fuel leak?

Cheers,

Tibi

It all depends on seal size. If the seals are the same diameter as the original Weber injectors then yes, they'll fit, but you may need to modify the brackets that bolt in fuel rail down by changing the length so the injectors are clamped down tight.

The size of them will not cause a problem, just make sure the tops and bottoms are the correct size and that it.

OK, an other question here LOL

I've pretty much found the injectors I want, but I would like to make sure they fit...

The lower and upper O rings are D=14mm (I guess that's the outside diameter..)

And 64mm from upper to lower O ring.

Will these fit into the original GTI6 manifold and fuel rail without any leak?
