If it's for a car audio amp you will need to run a new one straight from the battery with an in-line fuse. You will burn out any other circuit.

okay any idears how to get from the battery to rear of the car without drilling a hole

i drilled behind glove box then ran down passenger side under the carpet then into the boot, dont run nex to phono leads as apparently running them together can cause interfierence!

I ran mine through the seal where the aircon pipes run and then did as psjunkie. I did run both power and rca together and didn't get any interference, my cables are shielded as are most you can buy.
