Just had a new clutch fitted to the car , now when pulling off i get a sharp judder, am i right in thinking this is normal until it beds in? Any help appreciated

It will have evrything to do with it being new, it's new therefore the bite will have changed.

Or they didn't change the pressure plate, or springs in the friction plate were f*cked. Or a warped flywheel etc etc

There is that, or didn't tighten up the engine mounts

How worn out was the old clutch?? If you let it get too worn you would have fudged up the flywheel too Doh

Mechanic mentioned the clutch looked pretty good, but the pressure plate had pushed through, simply putting it down to a cheap clutch, so has replaced it, going to see how it is after 100 miles to let it bed in, slipping the clutch should help ?

Also somethingto note is the pedal is sticking halfway now and again, got to bring it back up with my foot ??

Could i be right in thinking that the cable/self adjuster could be sticking, causing the judder and causing the pedal to stick halfway?

Garage have had the car in, and turns out to be a defective clutch !
