looks tasty does that, have you had any issues with the RAM style snorkel? Reason i ask is because i cut mine open like that and it collected a fair bit of water in the airbox and soaked the filter etc. It got me thinking about the fact that it's probably easier for this to happen on a standard setup compared with a forced intake (with headlight intake for example) as any moisture taken in has to work against gravity on a forced intake and on a standard setup it goes straight down the pipe to the filter.

Oh rightUnsure
Will keep an eye on it cheersWink
I've not got a standard filter in there though,I've fitted the Ram Air induction filter I had inside the standard airbox Smile
So bottom half of airbox has got nothing in it.

MOT tomoz, then tax start of Feb before I can say if it collects any water!Big grin

I was doing 45 miles a day in it,used it for 12 months, and it started to feel old...Whistle
Then had a VERY good offer I could not refuseWink

I've got a Evo 6 in my garage which is a toy, prob would have kept the 309 if that was not in thereWink

The Rallye is soooo much nicer to drive than the 309,much better daily driverCool

Dear Coskev

I hate you.

I have just spent a wad of cash on that Bilt Hamber stuff only to find it really does work very well and I'll probably end up buying more.

Thanks to your thread, I also now feel bad about the state of the underside of my car, and now live in fear of it rotting away any second. I have therefore bought myself a tin of oxide primer and some metal paint and intend to sort it out.

Thanks for ruining my weekend.

Regards,
Owain.

All applied by brush,no laquer on top,the red is external household non-drip gloss, crimson red IIRC the colour was, available at any DIY store Wink
The prep and removal of rust is the most important thing to do correctly, just get yourself plenty of wire brush attachments for your drill in different sizes/shapes,and rust removal discs are recommended too Smile
