Hi all has anyone heard of cat cleaner? I first heard of this yesterday and the info I got was that it cleans the injectors and de cokes the inside of the engine thus for improving throttle response and a smoother running engine?? Any ideas guys or is this complete poo

Cataclean does make some bold statements about cleaning lambdas, injectors and cats but I have no idea if it works.

A quick google says it is actually a scam.

Thats the one cataclean I was thinking of using it as I only do 4 miles a day apart from weekends will this short business coke up the injectors and valves? Any how I have no cat so cataclean is most certainly useless for my car me thinks lol what about stp injecter and valve cleaner??? Mix with fuel it says

To be fair the best way to clean a cat is put some super unleaded in and give it a long hard drive.

Hence my post. They self-clean if they get hot enough and the only way you'll get it nice and hot is by driving it Wink

Thanks guys that makes sense like I said I don't have a cat it was just something I heard I drive it hard every weekend tho Wink and today im driving her to Leicester that should blow away any cobwebs? I love this website peole always offer advice, I don't suppose one of you could pm me and give me a quick lesson in how to put pictures up?? Many thanks
