Thinking of picking up a compression test tool and doing it myself, is it really easy?

Cheers,

Tom

Careful with it going in - if you feel any resistance then don't force it as you could be stripping the threads. Found mine to be hard to get straight on to the plug threads with the rubber tube being slightly curved.

Worry more about differences across the cylinders rather than the final figure.

Everywhere. Halfords do them, Screwfix probably do. MachineMart certainly do. Google and you'll find a million results Smile

Taking precautions, its possible the HG might be on the way out Sad

Did a long journey over to Cheltenham a while back and had the first overheating issue i have ever had. That went away but the car is now misfiring badly and having tried quite a few things i want to do the comp test just to be sure Yes
