well lads, wanting to change the lower mount as theres a fair bit of movement, i dont want to get group n solid mount as i had one in the 106 and although it vastly improved things it made the car feel very rough, so this time i just want a kind of inbetween Smile was thinking of the polybush mount, have many people got these mounts and do they make much difference?

Just get a new original equipment mount from Peugeot, they are quite stiff when they aren't 10-15 years old Smile

the poly ones are pretty shit to be fair, the number of them I have seen chopped in half by the bolt through the middle is amusing.

are they that bad? Shock

would the standard one be stiff enough when new to take away the movement?

If it is a daily driver I'd only recommend standard peugeot or lemforder. I've got a group N bottom mount and it makes the exhaust noise vibrate through the cabin.

yeah, pug ones are great when new Smile

They don't cost that much either, its the top right mounting that costs the most as its a hydraulically damped unit apparently.

I had a poly one in for three years and it was fine with very little cabin vibration, infact still seems like new and I could put it back in tomorrow tbh, Upgraded now to a baker bm one and I know what you mean, quite a lot more vibration in the cabin on tickover, apart from that all is good Smile

mmmm Hmm well i know i wouldnt want that in the 306 like i had in the 106, it did make it a completely different car to drive, a massive improvment, but i just think i want to keep the comfort in the 6 while still stffening up the engine a bit Wink

For a daily driver I'd use a new standard mount Yes (and I currently do)

I've had a powerflex one and had it tear into pieces after a few months.
