Some pictures I found on my phone that proves I try and do some of the work (and not just give in and take it to Carl) LOL

This was for:

- Exhaust removal for centre box removal
- Change of brake discs/pads + braided lines
- Removal of air con, plus fit shiny pulleys
- Change gear linkages

Car being used as a shed to store car parts

While battery tray was out, I fitted (sort of) the oil catch tank.

Some pictures of shiny new parts vs. old dirty parts

New brake pads

Yeah I bought them from Ash (roland rat)

And to be fair, I didnt do the best of jobs. Some of the pipes were hard to get out so I cut them LOL

Also, the pipes that go round the bulkhead are still there. How they come out with the engine still in is beyond me.

Got out of work a couple of hours early on friday so decided to fit my oil catch tank. There seems to be mixed reviews on how to fit on the thread, so I have probably done it wrong Laugh

Minus the catch tank, this is what I needed.

Cold and foggy, lovely conditions to work in Roll eyes

Before:

After:

Few things that concern me:

- It's a bit tight on bonnet clearance, but seems ok when shut
- Is it ok to have that non return valve thing on its side?

should have just remover the non return valve, as for the breather it looks fine to me, i just had mine going straigh back into the throttle body from the catch tank. not sure what its called but the bit you have blocked off, is it not possible to just remove the whole thing and block it off? not sure what its actualy there for LOL

Seemed like a pain to remove it Chris, so I just blocked it off.

The more I look at it, the more I dont like that long red pipe LOL I did it so I didnt get oil fumes coming back in the car.

thats exactly the same as mine except I did away with the pcv as it was cream crackered anyway. If it works I'd leave it in though.

My breather is in same place too but still found I had a few fumes drifting through, will be shifting it all around when I shift the battery anyway.

Ideally would like to get a mocal tank like waynes, not sure on the weight of those but these little round ones are surprisingly heavy No No

I bought that catch tank before I started taking weight from the car. Back then it wasnt such an issue. Probably end up buying a mocal one now.. Laugh

Ahh I see. It will be ready mate, don't worry Ninja

Front carpets etc are staying in for the time being. I may be getting hold of a rollcage soon so may as well wait for that Yes

Started feeling a bit soft, then found out both my Avo front dampers have pretty much had it Sad Good excuse to move to coilovers though. Just need a certain member of the forum to get them removed from the car Whistle

Oh yeah Mat, I never got that email from you Laugh
