Hi,

I just recently bought a new cambelt kit (as it has not been changed since the car was first bought - now done 50k miles, so needs to be done urgently) and I need to find someone that's not far from West London that will fit it for a reasonable price.

Obviously I want somebody experienced and will do a good job, but the couple of places I've been to do it on Peugeot's behalf and are trying to charge me in the region of £400! Scandalous IMPO.

Any suggestions/recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

6 hours? Can be done in ¼ of that time if you done a few. Make sure you get the water pump changed as well as the tensioner and idler... I bought my black 6 with a snapped belt and the water pump was to blame and when i changed the pump on my diablo 6 a few months back the bearings in it had collapsed and it was about to lock up!

+ water pump - done! I assume that can be changed at the same time and won't mean that I'm forking out for additional labour hours @ £60 + VAT?? (theiving runts - i swear lawyers don't even charge those kind of prices!)

Cheers for the suggestion welshpug - this guy isn't far from me - i'll get in touch! Have you or anyone you know had any work done by him?
