Checked the blue temp sensor on the thermostat housing ?

Failing that I would have the inlet manifold off and replace the gasket they are after all only a paper thing Wink

well if you have changed everything else then must be gasket Wink at an outside shot it could be the power steering sensor at the front of the engine - it has been found to cause all sorts of strange goings on when faulty Wink

just been out to look for the connector to put it on a diagnostics machine, did a search on here to find the places where they are, and cant find it in the places, so maybe it was taken out with the old engine when i did the conversion? so looks like im going to have to fault find and start fitting new bits everywhere till is stops, first thing to do is to put the PTFE gasket on

Just been thinking, once i have changed the other bits and i still get this prob, would it be worth changing the tps? Or would that have different symptoms?

Cheers

Does a faulty icv cause the car to "buck" on you when driving? i have been getting a similar problem with my idle changed the gas pump, the crank sensor, the fuel filter and the multi-function relay and cleaned the stepper motor and the idle problem and "buckering" persists.

Going to change it now. Can this also cause the car to shut down?

If you disconnect it when the engine is running it will cut out.

Are you suggesting the map sensor should be replaced? Also is this the only thing that will cause my problem.
