in the middle of fitting the newman ph2 cams today and found who ever did the cambelt before has not timed it correctly, the 10mm bolts are right to the end of the elongated holes in the pulleys, the car seem to pull very well and havnt seen any problems, i will obviously rectify this when i put the new belt on, anybody else had this and was there any difference in power once times correctly.

was it just the inlet and was it further forwards?

the both pulleys which is the strange thing. i cant remember which way around they are now, i will check in the morning and get a pick up. o do know those 10mm bolts should be central.

naah, doesn't matter where they are as their position even when pinned up 100% bang on is affected by belt tension.


if both are out it may be that the bottom pulley has slipped.
