Hi guys, another stupid sounding question I know but can someone please run through step by step how I unplug the PAS sensor? is it as simple as just unplugging it? I dont want to jump in and end up with fluid leaking everywhere. Any pics of exactly which blue sensor the PAS one is would be great too, I know its between the rad and manifold but i can see a couple and don't have a clue what i'm looking for.

Im still trying to cure the stalling/revs issue. already tried cleaning ICV, I've now put a separate breather filter on it and its still not playing, did an ECU reset and just as the fans kicked in after i'd run the engine to temp, the revs rose to 16-1700 and then just died.

Would love to be able to chuck a load of money at the car and just replace every sensor but cant afford to be silly with cash so trying things one by one.

Pas sensor first and then i'll just work my way round to the lambda, map etc, sorry for the thick question but i dont want to mess up. Is it really just as simple as unplug and drive??

Cheers Smile

yip just un plug will be at the front of the engine, just following the PAS pipes you will see it

there might be a massive BANG and smoke everywhere inside the car, this is normal

hope that helps

p.s. the second part was a joke Wink Big grin

so far so good, dont want to jinx it but think i may have found the problem. I'l leave it a week or 2 before im sure. If it turns out that this is the problem do i need to replace the sensor or can i just leave it unplugged?

The sensor tells the ECU to increase revs when you steer to prevent stalling so probably best to replace.

Yeh... due to load on auxiliary..

but with it unplugged it throws a fault and causes the stepper to work overtime...

thanks for that, I'l order a new one, I think this has actually cured the problem, can't believe it, would have been spending loads if it wasn't for this forum as all the mechanics I know arn't familiar with the 306, they were suggesting all sorts of things
