is it any faster than the V6 rallye?

the 306 was only 200bhp but it was lighter and no 4wd.

Lighter? Not really. The subaru is only 1240kg. Yes it quite a bit quicker now I think, handles as well with about the same amount of grip, although the brakes are no-where near the 310 kit.

Main thing is the fuel economy is only about the same as the RS engine now. The V6 was loads better!Roll eyes

Front dampers were re-valved today for more damping and a whiteline 22mm rear arb added. Still got to change the front pads over to the dreaded RC5+.

Fingers crossed the track day next week goes ahead so I can try it out. Current weather doesn't really show much as it goes sideways whatever really. Big grin

How are you finding it with the winter tyres on? Controlled drifts on demand?

No idea yet as i've had Lorna and Sam with me since its been fitted. Did go for a quick drive over the Evo/Top Gear/ 5th Gear test road above Llangattock today though and the whole car felt so much better. Really impressed me even though we weren't going fast. The damping is now a million times better and it all feels very tight. Steering is a fair bit heavier too which is good.

Might get a chance for a bit of a play tomorrow, otherwise it'll be thursday.

I would be good for Wens, but the kents have cancelled it. Probably going to do Bedford in January instead.

Give me time to change the front pads, lambda/coolant sensors and RR it again to check the fuelling.
