tbh the polished bits dont look as good as they did 3-4 weeks ago when i did it so chances are they'll be white before winter anyway

Called at the shed after work and prep'd the boot for welding tomorrow night

Monday after work i changed the front bumper





Tonight i started on the boot/bumper stripping ready to weld weld boot and hopefully get painted this weekend



Puled the false floor and sub box out to get to the bumper bolts





All ready for welding, filling and painting

Did you use standard car filler for the bumper ?

I found that using this stuff can make the paint crack because its not flexible enough.

I use the flexible black stuff, here is the ebay listing number 220291129608

Wheels are schmidt/revolution modern lines 8x16 front 9x16 rear

filler on bumper is standard type i've never had problems in the past, the old bumper was done 8 years ago and is still fine

I suppose it does depend on where its been applied on the bumper and how well. Iv had it on the corners and i think because of the movement it started to crack.

Bumpers are made of a type of poly plastic which is as strong as steel yet flexible as rubber.

Never had a problem with either 1, my red 1 was lower when it had clones with 50s, black 1 will probably be lifted slightly on front to try and improve handling
