since i bought my 6 4 weeks ago i have been getting a nasty vibration through car, i thought that this was due to the hard rubber baker engine mounting, but i have been under the car for a good look and i noticed the cat is touching the heat sheild, the rest of the system is aligned properly.
is it possible for the manifold to have distorted or could it be the wrong cat fitted?

I would say it's impossible for them to bend, If the CAT is a pattern item this is more like the cause, the cheap ones never fit that well

Is the Baker mount the lower one? If so that will be the primary cause of your vibrations. A touching exhaust would obviously aggravate this though.

Look for a second hand genuine cat. They're about £600 new from Peugeot including handing in your old one.
