Noticed tonight that I'm losing water, right under the front bumper, below where the lower rad hose joins the rad.

My initial guess, before looking at it, is this join. It could be a break, split or dodgy join. Does anyone know the size of the O ring rubbers in this join ? Though I might just buy a few and use what fits.

It could be something different, going to take the bumper off on Saturday to see if I can spot it. Any tips welcomed

It's a 97 R plate, not sure if it has the metal clip or not

Bad news is that those bolts and studs tighten into the head not the thermostat housing. I'd take the housing off and have a look at the condition of the threads in the head.

Can be a pita to get that hose back in due to the angle - use a touch of washing up liquid as it helps no end. You won't know what type it is until you look. Mine on an S had the newer style fitted.

Cheers Adam, I'm hoping that with the bumper off I should be able to have more room to get it on and off, that's if its that causing the problem.

Until the bumper is off I wont know, but the wet patch is right under that join. Though could be the rad in that particular spot
