Me and Mr Cwspellow spent the day sorting out under the bonnet and generally having a tarting up session, before and after pics:

i think 140k took its toll a little LOL

Do the after pics have coated manifolds as they look too clean for just normal cleaning from how they were?

yeh the manifolds, fuel rail, rocker covers, coil cover etc has all been sanded back, primed, painted. Silver and dark ford grey, looks very nice in the flesh.

cleaning products wise was a large tub of engine degreaser by a company called Gunk (well named :ll) which worked wonders, as well as some plastic trim cleaner and a lot of wiping down!

LOL actually there isn't any flaking, just some greasy stuff that didn't seem to come off

Looks good. Just need to paint the strut brace black so it doesn't look so out of place LOL

Mine's black BTW and it looks like it was factory fitted - if you know what I meanSmile

how long did it take to do all of this? as i want to do mine. im quessing you have to take everything off? to clean them up and paint them. what paint did you use im looking into getting my bits powdercoated.
