Right change the gearbox and while it was out we did the clutch cable and fitted a lightened flywheel. After it was all put back together it struggled to start followed by i think the starter motor breaking after a few starts of the car. Now after changing the starter motor the car still won't start, but it will bump start when the starter motor is not attached to the car.

Any ideas people as im losing patients with it now.

Thanks

I have the same problem today Sad i took the crank sensor out and even when i put it to earth it switched the fuel pump on but when i changed it the car fired up Smile

I'd pull the crank sensor out and git it a clean, with the ignition on if you side the crank sensor across the battery neg you should hear the fuel pump prime up

Edit:- didnt ask is the pump coming in LOL

Yeah it does mate so I'm guessing its not that reason then? Also when I changed the starter motor the car tried to start twice, then just went back to sounding like the motor was f*cked. As in the car was just clicking.

Another prob i had which was a b*tch, was teh alloy on the box had furred up and wasnt giving the starter an earth (making the starter come live) which some times when i turn the key it would turn engine other times it would just click

Do you have a test lamp or a bulb you can rig up ?

Connect neg to batt live and live to starter body then have someone to turn the key it shouldnt light up if it does then pull the starter back off and clean both starter and box faces

Right will try that tomorrow. Maybe something wrong with the gearbox maybe the bellhousing is damaged stoping the starter lining up?

So is It an old flywheel or a new design as this sounds like the problem?

I would of thought it was the new design rich sent me as I only bought it three weeks ago.
