A little bigger than 15" ones but slightly smaller than 17" ones.

Lowered around 40mm on 15's or 16's will look good and not compromise the handling too drastically, i wouldn't go any bigger than a 16" wheel personally.

17"s are too big, 16" is not too bad a compromise.

it will not make the car sit any higher unless you fit the wrong size tyres, even 18"s

there will be a big gap between the tyre and the arch tho....

I've droppped 40mm all round on cyclones 195/50/15

and its not too low for speed bumps, and has not compromised performance on back roads which is what these cars are built for!!

... then surely the car ltself will sit slightly higher off the floor unless you get some super low profile tyres???

i may not be a genious on the subject, but from what sixxer is saying i doubt he'd be happy with the result and wanna lower it... please correct me if im wrong sixxer.... a mate stuck 17'' on his standard suspension and looked like a tractor

part and parcel of fitting aftermarket wheels to a car is getting the tyres to match the diameter of the original wheels.

so my previous comments stand, ride height and archgap WILL NOT change LOL

16" wheels will look smaller than 15" wheels by the time you take off your 15s with 55 tyres on and swap for 16" wheels with 40 tyres on

I am running 16" wheels with 45 profile tyres as I thought 40 looked too skinny and the car sits the same ad clones with 55 tyres! The overall size of wheel and tyre is pretty much the same
