Well mine was lets say well past its clean by date....

after I had removed the grotty thing i found a fair/worring about of oily build up in here



which im guess has been sucked thorugh my filty filter question is...

how bad is this?

can i clean it with a spray?

should i even be worried?

It's normal. The oil vapour recirculation system takes vapour from the crankcase to the throttle body to be burnt.
(It comes in from the pipe in the left of your picture.)

A small amount of vapour will liquefy again as the engine cools.
