I dont find it that hard a job, just time consuming.

was quite amused that it only tok me 3 hours in total to do the ZX that shares the same heater box but a different dash.

Sad I found out my heater matrix is f*cked at the weekend. Haven't driven the car since as I have a another but I've got to drive it tomorrow to work 4miles ish , as my girlfriend is stealing her car back off me.
I only noticed the carpet near the clutch pedal was slightly moist not damp! Question is would this be ok to drive ?

Mine was like driving a curry house!!! Did the job and was not as bad as I expected.
I used money bags for all the nuts and bolts. Wrote where they were from which was a god send. Only awkward bit was clipping the cable ties from behind the dash holding all the wiring to the dash stopping it from being removed one side

I've got to try and get the matrix (well, full dash really) with a cage in, going to be a little more tricky!

Do away with the dash and fabricate a gauge housing...

I have to run the standard dash, or at least the dash shell. Probably going to cut the dash and put it back together again, if I can do that without making the dash look crap.

Mine went a few months back but its not been a problem as its been warm out.

Took the car out the other night and had to don a coat and scarf. But of course it then rained and the car steamed up so i had to drive ace ventura style with my head out the window.

Hi I'm new here, just bought myself a 6 with busted heater matrix.

I've managed to get the new one in now, but found this.

I'm a bit dubious about putting everything back together untill I can figure out if it's important or not....

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry the picture won't upload.

It's a little plastic bit with 2 spring loaded metal prongs in, looks like a copper end on each.

Just got it all back together, couple of issues, Central locking locks but unlocks doors strait away and now window washers don't work. The wipers go but no water and can't gete the motor.

Any ideas?

I still can't get a picture to upload, file size is too big.
