Hi Guys.

Gonna have a go at painting my brake calipers tomorrow. Is there any advise you guys who've done it before could enlighten me with? I know basically what I'm doing (Remove wheel, clean calipiers... and paint), but is there anything odd this french thing is gonna throw my way? Any advise would be appreciated. Cool

What paint are you using? Key is to make sure the calipers are very keen and roughed up a little so that the paint adheres well Thumbs up

i've just done mine and they look awesome Big grin however spent ages on mine as car was off the road. Took all 4 calipers off and spent ages cleaning and rubbing off all the rust and dirt. However very un-impressed with e-tec paint! I put on 3 coats and left them to dry for 3 days in my garage. However they are still almost sticky now and the paint hasnt stuck well at all Sad.
Also its supposed to be resistant to chemicals and brake dust... But brake cleaner and brake fluid both take it off easily! Useless stuf if you ask me. Will have to see how long it lasts as they do look great.

cool cheers for the advise fellas. However I've hit a hurdle, I can't get the wheels off!! It's in the garage now to see if they can get 'em off, but the wheel locking nut is bent (!!!)

ahh yes i've been there before... standard peugeot locking wheel nuts with 4 offset pins are shite, they always bend or fall out or snap off eventually. I've got different ones on mine now and theres never a problem.

Interesting intro! Welcome. Wave
Stick something in 'general' to say hi.
p.s. Just looked on your website... you dont actually list ANY pug bits?! Do you have one?

Back on topic, i've not heard a good word anywhere about the e-tec caliper paint, hammerite smooth seems to be used commonly with decent results. What colour you going for?

Painted mine today, used Hammerite BBQ spray paint!!!

I like the understated look and this comes out as silvery grey.
