removed gearbox again, clutch must of been slipping due to oil leak from crank seal Sad
was not bone dry last time i took box off tried to give car benefit of the doubt... silly me
few weeks later oil leak got worse... then causing standard clutch to slip at high RPM

oil and heat spots on flywheel

bought new flywheel bolts from Peugeot

also sourced new clutch cover to flywheel bolts

doesnt look like much but was a fair bit of oil about engine bay

cleaned as much up as i could with dry rags

got an Engineering firm in Inverness to grind flywheel flat

replaced crank seal had a Pug mechanic doubt check my fitting skills of the seal Farmer

possibly controversial but refitted my "old" Helix paddle, wasnt much wear in it. Cleaned up Clutch cover plate with clutch cleaner.
car isnt used that much and they arent exactly cheap - could not really justify another £400/500 buying Paddle full kit

gearbox back in..... again

starting to get a bit cold for all this carry on, car back together done a few hundred miles in last two weeks cars back in storage for now! Car feels great in the dry not much fun in busy traffic!

Planning 2.5 inch bore exhaust instead of the wee restrictive 2" Scorpion... still to go see Longlife
half planning Magnex even if it is a temporary fix for now.

Just an observation:

The clutch isn't going to bite properly for the full life of the friction plate on that flywheel now.

You need to get the clutch pressure plate area ground the same distance as you've had the clutch surface ground, else you've effectively relieved the same clamping force on the clutch.

spoke too soon

Third gear is making a lot of mechanical noises Angry
I can avoid using that gear for now, i have a spare gear box but will need to get LSD switched over too.
Too busy trying to sort house build and i certainly do'nt have the space for doing it at the moment

Russ I'm currently fitting my massively massive high boost cooler and finding it a pain in the arse to fit it and the charger cooler as well as the oil cooler all behind the bumper.....

Any more pics of how your charger cooler is mounted vertically and clearance between the intercooler and the Rad?

Think we finally figured out where both can go this evening but would be good to see how yours is done.

back on the road for summer, had a boost leak over winter...

after spending a few hours messing about checking pipework and rubbers, i believe the welded joint had been cracked (again) by excessive engine movement
also made sure leak wasn’t along throttle assembly parts, used a small amount of gasket sealant for that

got pipe coming off Supercharger redone like other forum members had done :

first off got the old pipework off the charger

a 50mm to 63mm reducer, new 50mm pipework and old pipework to reuse get angles off of

bit of work

new pipe Smile

car now running good again, needs a windscreen and few minor bits for Mot
