anyone how the procedure?

sometimes the gear stick is stuck and wont go in any gears, then a few pumps of the pedal and it's fine,

so think there is air in the system,

We use a pressure bleeder that sits on the reservoir and then it's just a case of opening the bleed nipple.

I don't think you can do it manually you may be able to do it with a oil can filled with brake fluid doing it backwards, have done this before.

bleed it the same as your brakes only you have to lift the clutch pedal up manually, bleed nipple is on the slave cylinder on the gearbox, probably find clutch master or slave cylinder need replacing due to not holding pressure, usually the master as its a bit of a pig to get to, would rec to change both the famous blanket repair!

yeah they do share the brake reservoir, not worked on the clutch on one of these yet though.

if there is air in there its possible that a component needs replacing, I think leaking slave cylinders are not uncommon, not too bad at about £30 from a dealer though.

the slave cylinder is on the front of the gearbox on these, not an internal one like some fords.

Just hope its not the new ones theyre selling with sealed hoses Wink if it is you need to buy the whole hydraulic system as the slave cylinder doesnt have a bleed nipple on it.

1.4 1.6 or 2.0? 5 or 6 speed if its a 2.0?

I haven't seen any 307's with single piece hydraulic clutch units, earlier 406's had those.

On my 505 it recommends reverse bleeding the clutch slave cylinder in the Haynes manual, never done it but apparently you have to attach a piece of tubing between the bleed nipple on the front caliper to the bleed nipple on the slave cylinder, loosen both nips then pump the brake pedal, sounds mad but suppose it would work,
Probably no use to you though LOL
