not atall you have to rev the 6 engine to make it go thats why they lack in torque...

Erm? I wasn't aware the GTi-6 engine lacked torque compared to similar engines.

At 7600rpm, you are well past peak power/torque anyway so it's not really necessary.

Ok yea but this thing seems to pull harder past 6k it's odd

Yeah, that sounds right. Peak power is at 6500 but it tails off soon after that. You want to be changing up before 7k.
