Is the tap more consistent when turning full lock whilst going slowly, say in a car park??

If so I'd say CV joint on shaft. If its more of a rumble like a storm thats far away, I would say wheel bearing. Yes

cheers for your help dude but i was being a fool ..again.. got it up on the ramp to take a closer look and saw that 3 of my nuts were hanging off... so some f**ker tryed to have my cyclones away in the night 0.o
