right now i decided to keep my car, i need to sort out a few problems, lol!!

the throttle bodies i fitted and got mapped, now are sticking open, but unsure why,
it has only just started to do it too. it done it before but thats because of the idling screw. but sorted that now when i rev it it stays open and drops revs very slowly!

would this be maybe the tps??

any advice would be good thanks

Unhook the throttle cable from the body and see if the cables sticky at all. My 6 is doing this and i think it down to a dodgey cable. I changed the inner one and although it didnt feel sticky it was well fraid. Poxy thing still sticks open though so i'll have to do the outer sheath too. I'd have done it when i did the inner piece but couldnt get the sheath out from the bulkhead!

Spray some grease onto the throttle cable in the engine bay. When they dry out they sometimes catch and can even stay open fully. Also check the housing (black circular thing the cable threads through), unsure of the technical name Razz

leave it stuck wide open, then just dip clutch when coming to junctions, lights etc.

The trouble with that is if it becomes stuck wide open it will just instantly rev off the limiter as soon as you release the clutch.

So you can't drive anywhere with it bouncing off the limiter as soon as you release the clutch can you? Roll eyes
