The rears on my 6 are acting strange. The left Rear seems to lock up very easily causing the car to vear left under heavy braking! Now I mknow all about rear mounts etc but I'm nearly sure that its braking more on the rear left than the right. With the car jacked up both wheels are braking but on track its very different and sometimes very dangerous! I was thinking of stripping out both calipers and freeing them up but I don't think thats the problem. Could the brake pressure balance thing on the shock be dodgy?

What to look out for?

i had something like this the other week with the left wheel having less braking pressure than the right [or vice versa, forget!]

i stripped the caliper down and regreased / lubed all the pistons and it has cured it..

What phase is your car? It's my understanding the phase 3's no longer have the troublesome load compensator which likes to wreak havoc with earlier models.

For the amount of time it takes, strip your rears off and grease them all up as Rikky suggests. Red rubber grease ftew.

Surely if it has abs which all 6s do then the fault would be with the abs not working because if it was no wheels would be locking up at all?!
